Lumosity Insights

Lumosity has over 85 million users with over 3 billion game plays – an unparalleled dataset, yet largely untapped. My team’s goal was to transform that data into meaningful experiences to keep users engaged and motivated to continue training with Lumosity.


Background

From previous research and features, we knew that our users were excited to learn more about their brain. They wanted to learn more about their cognitive performance, their unique cognitive characteristics, and how other lifestyle factors (sleep, physical activity, etc.) affect cognition. There were thousands of insights we could show our users and hundreds of ways we could deliver them. My team started by exploring these possibilities to discover which direction would be most engaging for our users.  

Role

I was the lead UX designer on the team, and I collaborated with others from many disciplines: UX and visual design, product management, copywriting, data science, and engineering (Android, iOS, and web).
